Can I add active pickups to a guitar that comes stock with passive pickups

Because there is no slot for the batteries. l was wondering if they would

that anyway. But the question remains, ''Can l add Active pickups to a

All three guitars I've put preamps or active pickups in have

had enough space in the cavity to squeeze a 9v battery into. I didn't even

So yeah, a 9v wrapped in a little foam (to avoid contact with anything
electrical, say, anything at all in the guitar cavity) might work out just
fine. The only disadvantage is that you'd have to unscrew the cavity to
replace the battery.. but since batteries should last you a few months,
there shouldn't be an issue. just don't leave ur guitar plugged in when
you aren't using it, you've gotta be religious about it, always disconnect
ur equipment when you aren't using it, kills the batteries...

My guitar tech has made a few homebrew buffer preamps for his customers, &
batteries for those last me between 4 & 6 months. when I had EMGs in a
guitar the batteries would still last for 3-4 months, but that was when I
was playing an awful lot more than I am right now. but man, leave that
guitar plugged in overnight, & kiss a few weeks of battery life goodbye..

Good luck!
